Public Speaking Track
Rehearse speeches and talks with a real-time AI audience — six speech types and over 40 scenarios.
Overview
The Public Speaking track is fundamentally different from the other tracks. Instead of lessons and a level assessment, you choose a speech type, pick a scenario, and deliver your speech to a live AI audience that listens, asks questions, and coaches your delivery.
Access it by clicking Public Speaking in the sidebar.
No Assessment Required
Public Speaking has no separate assessment. Simply open the page, choose your speech type and scenario, and start speaking. The AI audience adapts its questions and coaching to what you say.
Speech Types & Scenarios
There are six speech types, each with multiple scenarios (41 in total):
•Persuasive (7 scenarios) — convince an audience to adopt an idea, policy, or action. Topics include pitching to investors, advocating for sustainability, arguing for digital literacy in schools, and more.
•Informative (7 scenarios) — explain or present information clearly. Topics include AI trends, climate science, remote-work best practices, mental health awareness, social media impact, and more.
•Elevator Pitch (6 scenarios) — deliver a concise, compelling self-introduction. Topics include a networking event, "Tell me about yourself", pitching freelance services, a conference panel introduction, and more.
•Ceremonial (7 scenarios) — speeches for special occasions: wedding toast, retirement tribute, award acceptance, eulogy, graduation welcome, farewell speech, and anniversary toast.
•Motivational (7 scenarios) — inspire and rally an audience: commencement address, team kickoff, sports team pep talk, volunteer rally, leadership keynote, encouraging a team after a setback, and more.
•Academic (7 scenarios) — present research and scholarly work: conference paper, dissertation defence, literature review, explaining statistical findings, seminar presentation, case study, and colloquium talk.
All scenarios are available immediately — no subscription required to browse, though speaking time uses your minute balance.
Session Options
•Speech duration — choose how long your speech should be (2 to 20 minutes).
•Listening mode — control how the AI behaves while you speak:
- Silent — the AI does not speak during your delivery.
- Visual — the AI gives brief text acknowledgements.
- Audio — the AI gives brief verbal responses, mimicking a real audience.
•Scenario — select a predefined scenario from the list or describe your own topic.
How a Session Works
1.Introduction — the AI briefly sets the scene and invites you to begin.
2.Your speech — deliver your talk for the chosen duration. The AI listens in your selected mode.
3.Audience Q&A — after your speech the AI asks 2–3 audience-style questions.
4.Coaching feedback — the AI delivers detailed coaching on delivery, clarity, structure, engagement, and content.
Post-Session Feedback Card
After the session ends, a structured feedback card appears in the Review tab showing scores across five delivery dimensions (each out of 10): Delivery, Clarity, Structure, Engagement, and Content. You will also see specific strengths and a top improvement suggestion to guide your next practice.
